Discussion about our food economy, food culture, GMO's, processed foods, etc.

With mention of:

Thank you Thuy for these podcasts. Very informative. My wife was diagnosed with ovarian cancer on Oct. 3rd while in for an outpatient hernia operation. She was on the operating table about to be put under when the anesthesiologist notice her labored breathing due to her abdomen being swelled up looking 8 months pregnant.
The swelling began at the time she suffered the injury and we asked the surgeon about it but he tied it to the hernia and left it at that. The anesthesiologist called the surgeon in and said he could not put her under in an outpatient enviroment in case there was a respiratory emergency. The surgeon looked at my wife and asked "your not normally that large?" Thats when he ordered a CT scan and we got caught up in the vortex of fear and confusion of cancer. Immediatly put in the hospital. Told chemo and debulking was the treatment but due to a high CA125(?) blood marker count that 3 to 4 rounds of chemo then surgery to search and destroy.
Two rounds of chemo done, go in to see the Oncologist and run into a brick wall of no info or answers and only 15 minutes allocated to us on our first big meeting with him since release from the hospital. He did say no surgery but chemo would be every 3 weeks for a year or more.
Thats when we starting researching.
She is also consulting with a biochemist who has a protocol that he has and is using with other cancer "fighters". Could you ask Kevin Meehan if he has seen or is aware of research done with the use of Curcumin and cancer. She is also using probiotics/digestive enzymes, vit.D w/K2, resveratrol, fiber powder, Isotonix B complex and opc-3 (Oligomeric Proanthocyandins).
Also key is promoting a 7.4 Ph which has been achieved.
Chemo was very hard on her digestive system but things are improving rapidly. She has regained energy and gone back to work where she loves the people there. Even getting improvement in the nueropothy(?) she has in her feet. The chemo did get rid of the fluid in her abdomen (acites?) which was huge.
My thoughts are with you and your journey Thuy. I look forward to more podcasts and hope this info finds a large audience. The cut, burn, poison protocol that is so mainstream just does not make sense in all cases. I'd like to hear how Kevin has done with any ovarian cancer patients if any. I appreciate Kevin's passion and ability to convey information.
I look forward to one day being heads up with you at a big final table and celebrating your health and 2nd place finish.
